a) Choose one of the topics covered in the presentations given during the Epiphany Term (these are listed on the module’s DUO site in the assessments folder under topic choices for Summative 2). For the assignment, provide a detailed and critical review of the literature on the topic (this can incorporate the presenters’ own work) that shows why the topic is relevant to the management of organisations/firms, and an evaluation of what other research could be undertaken to develop further our understanding of the topic. Where relevant use real-world examples (from the media/press or any other sources) to support and illustrate your answer. (50 marks)

b) Find an example in the press/media of an issue that management faces in today’s organisations that is not covered in the course. Critically evaluate how the academic literature may or may not inform management in addressing the issue in practice by providing a brief critical overview of the academic literature that addresses the issue. (50 marks)
